Drag Racing

Drag racing is a competition in which vehicles compete to be the first to cross a set finish line, usually from a dead stop, and in a straight line. It's the fastest and loudest motorsport on earth with sensational race action from dragsters and doorslammers to beetles and bikes. The sport is primarily practiced by automobiles and motorcycles. While usually thought of as an American and Canadian pastime, drag racing is also very popular in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the Caribbean in particular Aruba, Mexico, Greece, Malta, the Netherlands, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Scandinavian countries especially Finland and Sweden. At any given time there are over 325 drag strips operating world-wide.
